Health & Human Services Committee Goes Weekly, Ask Questions About COVID-19

Jan 21, 2021

The Health and Human Services Committee will begin to hold weekly hearings to update the community on COVID-19, the vaccine rollout and other issues affecting residents, Councilman Kerry McCormack, chair of the committee, has announced.

New information about COVID-19 and the vaccine rollout is coming out every day from the federal, state and local government. This information is not only evolving, but also confusing for many. Residents need and deserve to have clear and timely updates provided to them. The Health and Human Services Committee of Cleveland City Council will enact its oversight role in achieving that.

Starting on Jan. 25th the Health and Human Services Committee of Cleveland City Council will double its hearing schedule from every other Monday morning at 9:30 am, to every single Monday at 9:30 am. This increase will allow the committee to hold weekly public hearings with the goal of providing regular and transparent oversight and updates on COVID-19 and the vaccine rollout to the community.

These hearings will not replace public information coming from the federal, state and local government, rather they will serve as a regular check in on current data and information. In addition to council member engagement, Councilman McCormack also welcomes questions and feedback from the community.

If you have a question or comment that you would like to submit to the committee, please fill out this form. (Note: submission information is a public record.)
