Council Swearing In

Dec 31, 2021

Cleveland (Dec. 31, 2021) – Council members-elect will be sworn in Monday, Jan. 3, 2022, at 7 pm. Ohio Congresswoman Shontel Brown will administer the oath of office.

Council and a small number of their guests will fill Council Chambers to its COVID capacity. The general public cannot attend in person but can watch the live stream on TV20 (TV20 - Watch Live (tv20cleveland.com) and YouTube (Cleveland City Council - YouTube). Media can attend, but must RSVP.

Besides the swearing in, council will also elect the Council President, the Clerk of Council and vote on adopting the Rules of Council.
