Celebrating The Fleet Bike Shop's 50 Years with Councilman Brancatelli
Aug 20, 2021
(Cleveland – Aug. 20, 2021) – Join Councilman Tony Brancatelli to celebrate with the Fleet Bike Shop 50 years as a staple of Slavic Village and as a friend to bicyclists from around the region on Sunday (8/22) from noon to 4 pm.
For the owners Margaret “Marty” and Alexander Zaleski, the bike shop has been more than just their business. They lived in the building for 40 years and raised their grandchildren there.
Al began repairing bikes at 16. But both are gearheads, now working on E-bikes as well as the traditional bike. But they sell mostly refurbished bikes, making bikes affordable to more customers.
“Al will repair a tire or fix a popped chain of a child any time of the day,” said Councilman Brancatelli. “And they are the most affordable bike repair business in Cleveland.
“Clients come from all over the region to get their bikes fixed or to buy refurbished (and new) bikes at the Fleet Bike Shop. I’m sure many friends will come out to celebrate their 50th anniversary.”
