Council to Hear Mid-Year Finance Update

Cleveland City Council will hear a mid-year finance update regarding the general and capital funds, presented by the City Finance Director. This update will take place on Monday, September 23, during the City Council Caucus in the Large Conference Room. 

The Finance Department will provide an overview of the city’s financial status, including insights into revenue, expenditures, and project updates. This session will aid in preparing Council for Departmental operational reviews scheduled for October and November. The operational reviews – which were introduced in October 2023 - allow Council to collect information about each department’s staffing, operations, and financial positions. Council President Griffin shared, “the information provided to us at the mid-year finance update and the operational review hearings allow Council members to ask informed questions and have greater oversight of service delivery and ensures the city’s budget includes our priorities. We take our financial oversight seriously and look forward to deliberating on what is important to our stakeholders – the people of Cleveland.”
