State of the City
Yet another rah rah speech by the Mayor: lots of glad-handing, team-building, grandiose plans and some worthy accomplishments, yet no direct mention of poverty by the Mayor of one of the poorest big cities in the United States, where nearly 50% of the city’s children grow up poor. Plenty of feel good bromides about how the city is on the rise, championing new development but no specifics about how that’s going to positively affect its poor population. It’s great to be positive and optimistic, as every Mayor always is, but when and how specifically will we turn things around for Cleveland’s residents that are struggling the most economically and suffering the inequities that brings?

Being abused
What has become long ago, Un-democratic political whore employees of "The City" bullied and made an ass of me, wrongfully weaponized "Law" and raped my family of our 4900 Lakeside warehouse building and business. WHY, is yet to be verified! Ever since I have been asking officials to meet with me to understand what was done and attempt to devise a win-win venture to right the wrong that was done: Only to be insultingly, rudely, if strategically ignored. No one can say I haven't tried or ever hurt/stiffed anyone as you and your cohorts have me. Don't ever forget that both I and KARMA will haunt you and yours forever! Political whore's should drop dead and rot in hell! Bob Weisberg 440-488-5132

Cease Fire Gaza
Rather than an official declaration in favor of a cease fire in Gaza, I would rather see the same for Cleveland! I am afraid to be in your city at night. Are you aware of the number of law biding citizens who have gotten their concealed carry permits because they fear being in your city after dark?

Why Gas Stoves should be taken out all Houses / Apartments
Why Gas Stoves should be taken out all Houses / Apartments. Because Carbon Monoxide kills people in Houses / Apartments. Taken out the Gas Stoves takes off the Carbon monoxide/ lead paint/ and makes less lead paint testing in Houses / Apartments. The End Lead Paint Laws is also being applied when Gas Stoves are taken out the Houses / Apartments. To create cleaner air, all the Houses / Apartments should have electric stoves. I'm a North west Member - Neighborhood of Council 15. To Conclude to Council, My writing is a request to put electric stoves in all Houses / Apartments . The request creates less lead paint & Creates Cleaner air existing in all Houses / Apartments/ including Lofts... to & for the living people . The Neighborhood of Northwest Council 15. Thank you

The gross amount of litter in your city.
For the past month I have had to travel to the Cleveland VA Medical Center for treatment. I travel I-480, I-77, and St. Rt. 10 to get to the medical center. The amount of litter along your roadways is atrocious. It perplexes me how democrats, who proclaim to be all about the environment, are always in charge of the dirtiest cities in America. It is only because of your lack of leadership and will that these conditions exist. The problem is easily solved by forcing welfare recipients and convicted misdemeanor violators to pay society back by picking up the litter. You all should be ashamed of yourselves.

Poverty
I live on Union and 103rd. The area is in deplorable condition. Trash is everywhere and there are large trees in the area that damaging our homes and the surrounding power lines . No one from the city inspects these areas? These trees are city property can you please send the city workers to cut them down? Also, what can be done there’s outrageous utility cost? I am only making minimum wage and can not afford to keep my utilities on much longer. I’m currently in school trying to make a comfortable living but it’s currently very difficult. I have learning disabilities and no help please do better to help service the people who are incapable of helping themselves.

Parking
I live on 117th St (off Superior). It is SUPPOSED to be a one way street and it's not recognized by many of the citizens of Cleveland. They zoom UP the wrong way sooo many times, and basically the corners for entering AND exiting this street needs patrolling. Secondly, on the corner of E117st superior corner there are THREE businesses there and everyday cars are parked on Superior and it makes it hard to come out onto superior. I have been addressing this many times to the police and nothing is done

Preservation of the Gift and Legacy of the Frank Cudell Estate. The century old gift of Cudell Commons deserves more than the current land grab by the Cleveland CMSD.
Cudell Commons have long been undervalued by the city of Cleveland (the rightful caretaker) and an uneasy 'shared space' among the City of Cleveland and the CMSD. The highly irregular "planning exercise" allowed by the city and undertaken by CMSD consultants, resulted in a secret plan to double the space used for educational purposes and discard historic tree growth and land use (that were part of the Cudell legacy). The Cudell family gift was reaffirmed in the last several months with a visit from a living family member. The gift included the historic family home, now a Fine Arts Center, land the is now a rec center, and the space used for Marion C. Seltzer School. Added to these historic uses, a highly significant memorial in the name of Tamir Rice provides a lasting memory of the tragic shooting and the beauty of Tamir's young life. A recent court ruling rejected a public desire for an injunction. However, that action should not be taken as permission to ignore the purpose of the Cudell gift. The city, CMSD, and highly motivated residents should by convened by the Mayor and the Council members to chart out a balanced and uplifting plan that will provoke pride and peace for generations to come!
