WHY:

May 3, 1791 is the date of the signing of the Polish Constitution, the first written constitution in Europe to guarantee basic economic and human rights.  Each year, Poles around the world gather together to celebrate this historic event.

“The celebration of the Polish Constitution is a staple event in the Slavic Village community, which is home to many Polish descendants, including myself,” said Councilman Brancatelli.  “I encourage everyone to come out and join us in the weekend’s festivities.”

If you would like to participate in the parade, please contact Francis A. Rutkowski at (440) 892-3950; Dr. Mitchell Biennia at (216) 641-7633; or the Alliance of Poles Office, Division of PRCUA at (216) 883-3131, ext. 107
