The Legislation Committee reviews county, state and federal legislation and actions that affect city annexations and is responsible for all matters relating to redistricting, charter amendments, certain codified ordinances and all petitions. In addition, the committee handles all court matters, printing and advertising matters, ordinances related to licensing and ordinances that impose fines, penalties, forfeitures or imprisonment.
