Phyllis Cleveland will continue to serve as Majority Leader and Councilman Kevin J. Kelley will continue to serve as Majority Whip in the 2010-2013 term as well.
“This new Council consists of a healthy mix of old timers, middle-of-the-
roaders and young Members, which should result in vigorous deliberations, including multiple points of view,” said Council President Martin J. Sweeney. “Together we must confront the challenges that face our City and embrace the opportunities that await us.”
In this new term, Cleveland City Council will continue to build the foundation for the strong partnership that have forged with Mayor Frank G. Jackson and the Administration and will continue to keep pushing on issues important to the neighborhoods. The focus will remain securely on strong City services, enforcement of the City’s laws and the creation and implementation of policies that make this City a great place to live, work, play and pray for its people.
